Have people mounted the rollbar as Tiger suggest in the book? By hacking away all the grp? How can this area be made to look tidy afterwards?
Thinking about alternative ways of doing it.
Cheers
We don't think ours looks too bad...

Er sorry I was meaning on the Avon. Is anyones book able to fall on the scanner showing how Tiger suggest you do it?
If I remember correctly (not any where near that point yet!) the book says you need to cut away a chunk of the GRP in order to allow the mounting
plate to stick into the boot area. however I have heard it said that the mounting plate is much longer than it needs to be so you can cut it down a
bit to the size you really need it for your roll bar...
HTH ? - probably not
My body sits down on the mounting plate. So when the roll bar is fitted the top of the plate on said roll bar is almost level with the top of the GRP.
Doesn't look too bad.
What doesnt look too good is that one wheel arch is wider than the other.
My be I should add that I fixed the rear body flange under the rear chassiss plate as opposed to the book which appears to suggest above. This brings the rear section down more.
Lightning, cheers for that.
I have a cunning plan
I'll let you know when I've tried it.
