Rear Wishbones

I'm looking at making new rear wishbones so i can have more adjustment rather than just camber adjustment, Anybody already done this or have plans or suitable wishbones

I thought the Avon rear lower bones had rod ends on the inner ends didn't they?

yeah only on the lower ones, but this won't let me adjust the toe in

Ahh I see - are the top bones fixed and with double pivots at each end then?

A simpler aleternative to remaking the bones might be to shim the rear hub carriers against the upright.

Why not?
You have two rose-joints on the lower wishbone. so adjust one and you toe in/out will appear.

rose joint outer point on the top wishbone and rose joint the inner points on the lower wishbones

should do the trick.

i think 3ge do a nice adjustable toe lower wishbone but its not on their site.

because the top wishbone is fixed, so it won't allow any movement.

I`m thinking of doing this to mine, as currently there is a tie bar, one is a few mm out causing bump stear on the rear.
What i would do is laser cut in steel a wishbone patten, then weld bush tubes, and threaded tubes.
This way you know that the whishbones are exact.

not a bad idea, i'm not sure what to do at the moment, been looking at rorty irs setup might pinch a few ideas from that

Currently doing the same for a Toyota GT4 with 'Superstrut' suspension (like McPherson on acid!).

I'm fabbing the arms out of 1" 3.25mm wall CDS tubing and having the lot TIG welded.

I know someone that has already done this to a ST205 so as to get rid of the SS suspension. He has also raised the suspension turrets so as to lower the car but still have enough hight for the struts.

That's wierd...

can's you rose-joint the upper as well?

i probably could, but as i was thinking of remaking them, i thought i would improve them at the same time
