Hi Mate’s
After a long break I am now in a position to make some progress.
I know this topic was discussed before but most of the people that are experienced with this problem use the readily fabricated chassis and
suspension components but I fabricate all the things myself and I haven’t fixed the suspension brackets yet so according to yours comment I can make
some modifications easily.
when I’ve just assembled the rear right hand side components As mentioned in the book I set the gap between front of the lower wishbone to the
chassis at 100 mm. But as seen in the picture below there is no way to line up the upper wishbone with upright even though the ball joints
positioned as backward as possible
According to this problem by using the book dimensions i made some calculation and I was shocked. The suspension setup is completely wrong .I put
wishbones on the table and simulate setup on the same layer to see the error as in the picture
Description
To solve this problem I spun the bottom wishbone through 180 degree. But in this configuration the gap between front of the lower wishbone to the
chassis becomes 110 mm. Does this make any problem? I will make my own GRP

You need to upload the images as jpg or gif to the site (into you photo archive) before adding the linky.. I bet you can see them but we cant!

are you sure you have the wishbones upper and lower and the rear hub carriers the right way round as they are all right/left handed. The mistake is easy to make as the differences are very slight
I am trying to upload the pictures
can you see mates
have you made the rear hub carriers yet? It should become clear when you do, the centre line mounting point of where the bones bolt to the carrier is meant to be offset to match the bracket on the rear carrier wich is also offset.once its all bolted together the carrier will sit true plumb
yes i make
can you see posted photos fazerruss.you can see them in my photo archive

looking at your picture it seems to be correct but cant be 100% sure. Dont assume all mesurements in the book are correct cos there are quite a few
mistakes . I ended up driving down to tiger in peterborough to take my own measurements from one of their chassis cos there are differences from
the book dimensions at the front end. Ill double check to see if there were any mistakes on the rear mounting points.
where abouts are you? if local you are welcome to come bring a tape measure take a look at my chassis or maybe there will be some one else close to you
thanks fazerruss
but i am from CYPRUS
i am not sure but i thing i am the only man who build kit car in cyprus
what was the result of mesurements ?did you find any mistakes on the rear mounting points. Can i trust the book
In the end I decided to make my own.....
If you don't use the body, your free to choose.
That 110 mm rings a bell, there is some info here... let's use search..

And there are a lot of faults in that book.

instead of 100mm the 110 mm gap can make effect on the position of the wheel in the wheel arch. but i am pllanig to make my GRP myself so I can arrange the GRP to the present position of the wheel. Are there another effect that i cannot consider?
thank's westf27
thanks fazerruss
I thing you have some knowlege about Cyprus.I would be glad to you if you share your data with me.my e-mail is:
duygu_e@yahoo.com
The nex step that i am going to do is making the final welding of the chassis. Can someone give me any advice about sequence of welding or anythings else
