measurements for my prop and hpw to align it up properly

see my replky on the Tiger form, unfortunately imo the Cat is too heavy a beast for a bike engine
Most of the bike engined Tigers are found in the Avon chassis. Tiger did produce the 'B6' which was a bike engined R6 but there are very few about. You will need to make alterations to the chassis on a Cat to accept a bike engine and probably also fabricate your own cradle. As others have said the Cat has a heavy rear end so not ideal for a bike package. The B6 chassis was also made from round tube chassis rails making it lighter.
Yeah I understand that hence why the 1200 was considerd. I'm not really after mental power just looking at something abit different with a bit of poke. After all it's not exactly going to be slow is it? What's te average weight of a cat?
dont know exactly but im guessing 650KG plus and depending on the build i think it could go as high as 750kg. An avon in light trim can be sub 600kg
depending on how anal you want to be about weight.
Im all for doing something diffeent but my gut tells me you would be:
A. Dissapointed on the performance after all the hard work.
B. Tired quickly of going everywhere at max revs to get the best out of the engine considering the weight.
There are no rules so go for it but just be aware that it will be a lot of work and you may end up being dissapointed. As per my post on the Tiger
forum if it was me i would sell the engine package and it would probably pay for a good second hand 2.0 litre zetec and type 9 box.
Just my opinion
Where abouts are you btw?
I'm in Leicester mate, yea ok I'm going to do some figures and work out what's what and see if I can lose some weight somewhere
i have a tiger cat.at the sva it weighed 636kg full of fuel and a pinto engine.
Awesome, what things have you fitted? What style seats interior etc
Still using the sierra rear end?
seat were from intratrim.didnt like the tiger 1's.standard sierra rear beam except changed to a lsd earlier this year.
Do IT
It is worth the effort if your looking for something very raw and buzzing, not if
you want to cruise everywhere at 70pmh
We have a Avon with a supercharged GSXR 1000, it runs reliably and is bloody quick
Weight is 537kg full with fuel and fluids, this is not a speculative weight banded around
by those who guess. Its been on our local weigh bridge.
Tiger offered no help and were very dismissive once we said we were going bike engined,
but to honest we didnt need them for much any way
Happy building
