Help!

Does anybody have any tips for bashing the uprights into shape? I am starting to get fed up knocking them about and still not getting them to profile the bodywork correctly.

I bent the "L" shaped bit over my knee to the same profile as the scuttle and then the bit the windscreen actual bolts too needs to be twisted with a vice until it is parallel with the sides of the cars.
