What is the best way of fixing the fuel sender into my brand new tank without getting swarf inside?
Drill it upside down.
You'll still need to give it a swoosh round with petrol, but that's what I've just done with mine.
Is it then a self tapper fixing?
Yes.
I used masking tape sticky side up inside and then drilled & tapped hole making sure I took my time.
Thx, upside down it is, was just talking to mate at work who suggested the masking tape too !
I guess you're going to mount your sender close to the filler cap so you can get in there with the sticky tape??
Like an idiot, i managed to cut out my sender right where the mounting brackets are so I had to make some new ones which straddle the sender - so make
sure the sender missed the mounting brackets.
I used self tappers in my sender ..

The Avon tank comes with the sender hole pre drilled, so not a problem.
It will be a case of taping a couple and drilling then the other ones, fiddly but ok.
What did you use for the anti spill / roll over/ one way valve?
Did IVA ask for any paperwork for this?
You can buy one way valves from 4.99 to 40.99 from what I can tell....
