Wide track Avon coil overs?
locost7-online.com - 12/7/15 at 09:49 PM

Just finished off my front wishbones, 45mm wider each side, do I go with the standard tiger coil over and move the bottom coil over bracket inboard to match the original dimension of the wishbone or do I move the bottom bracket out to suit the 45 mm wider and use a different coil over length?

I used the old shockers and uprated to 400lbs springs. Car spent most of its days on track and handled great.

Another question about coil overs, are the tiger ones fitted with rose joints? The brackets seem to be a bit skew with each other top to bottom on chassis and lower wishbone, the bracket is dead centre of the lower wishbone

No they aren't and yes they are skew on all the Avons i've seen. If you havent bought any yet i'd advise some Protech versions as they are the same money but much better quality...and they are rose jointed

Just a quick one about the shock mounting points... when I put the shock in the mounts, there is a definate twist I have to put onto the rubber mounts in order to get the bolts through top and bottom. Is this due to the misalignment you're talking about above?

Cheers,

Chris.
