I have just bought a Tiger Avon and when i got it home the windscreen was cracked and needs replacing. The top of the windscreen frame is right in my eye line. Is there an option for fitting taller screens? I dont want to go for Aeroscreens. Any ideas welcome.

Also, has anyone ever managed to fit a curved screen?

If you want a higher screen you would use your current frame, make some new eustanchions to raise it up and make an ally plate up to fill the gap at the bottom. Westfield use a fillet at the bottom of their screen.

Replacement glass is cheap enough. No idea on the curved screen question.

Thanks, i was thinking about raising the whole lot up which would be the easiest option but might look a bit

i fitted a taller screen about 3" taller, i asked tiger for a frame with longer sides and just got a local glass company to make me a screen, had it on for the past 8 years with no problems at all. No need for filler plates or anything, it just look standard

that sounds even better, i didnt know you could get windscreens made to measure. Who made yours?

mine was made by a local glass / mirror place using a laminated glass, Told them what i was using it for and gave them a template, from memory it cost £30 but that was 8 years ago

Easy way once you have IVA under your belt so no Kyte marks required is to cut a piece of plywood to suit your raised screen and leave it with your local glasss cutter, when they have a bit of scrap glass they use it as a template, new screen for beer tokens

Or increase seat rake angle.. This is how I have done it on the MK, using catervans original seats, as these are quite laid back...
