I was wondering if anyone has built the chassis from the Tiger book?
I was going to build the regular book chassis but I have an IRS so I figure I will just use the Tiger book.
Any problems I should look out for? Did anyone change it (suchs as widen or lengthen)? Or should I build a McSorley book chassis front and try and
adapt an IRS too it?
Any tips would be great.
I started to do just that
Then I discovered that the rear wishbones would converge if I followed the Avon dimensions. I've now re-jigged the IRS to give me,
(theoretically) better geometry and a better transition between the book chassis and the IRS.
On a slightly different note, depending on which engine you intend to use I would consider making the chassis a bit taller.
Finally use the book and McSorley plans in conjunction with each other.

Mix do you have any drawings of the alterations you made?
Here Northy. Somewhere in that thread he mentions it. http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=21808&page=1
Thanks for the tips Mix. I found your other post with your pics. It looks great! That helped me out alot and will be very valueable during
constuction.
Also, i'm using a 13b rotary engine. They are pretty small but I might have to change the intake abit.
Thanks again Mix, good thing I didnt start cutting!

Yes I've got drawings, can you read either autocad or turbocad format?
Mick
AutoCad would be great!
Thanks
Here goes then.
Be gentle with me, I'm not a draughtsman and these are only working drawings, but they will give you an idea of what I'm doing.
Hope this works
Mick
I'll have to have a look at work tomorrow.
Cheers
Mick, is there any chance you could convert them to pdf or soemthing so those of us without cad packages can have a look? Alternatively I will pay postage etc for a printed set.
I'm not too good with all this modern technology, I'll try and involve my son and see what we can come up with.
Mick
Or alternatively if anyone could give me any pointers.....
