Can anyone show me how the front end of the propshaft locates in relation to the chassis. I would like to check on position and clearance ? Type 9 with pinto in tiger avon chassis.

no answers usually means the question is not clear !

So here goes. ...

I need to see if my gearbox output shaft is in the right place in relation to the chassis and gear lever etc. ????
Some pictures would be appreciated lads !!

well, its reassuring to know that i'm further down the road than some !

I'm always thinking that my build is very slow............ I can only progress when funds permit !!!

I want to start making the remote gear linkage so need to know that everything is in the right place first. You know how it is !. I tend to make as much as possible myself since it is the cheapest option. What I have plenty of is time, equipment and raw materials.

Just been looking at your photo archive...whats that you've got on the end of your gearbox?
Is it the 'donut' end of the Sierra prop?
Are you not going to use the Tiger prop? (which has the diff flange at rear and a splined shaft at front (no donut) which slides into rear of gearbox). This allows for a certain margin of 'tolerance' in where you mount the engine/gearbox as well as movement of rubber mounts during acceleration/deceleration.

Yes, I think you have hit the nail on the head ! DOH ! Now that I have removed it, it seems to look about right !. Many thanks !
