Has anyone had the same trouble with the Avon fuel cap?
I’ve cut the holes in the carbon fibre for the fuel filler cap
And when fitting the cap there seem to be too much spring in the cap to turn the key to lock it?
I have even taken the rubber out just to see if that helps, but the key will turn about 30 degrees then you can’t turn it or you could break it?
Has anyone had anything like this will try and get picture to show what I mean
Yes I did , but cant for the life of me remember what I did to remedy it. If I remember I will let you know. Memory is not quite what it usred to be ...I think.
yes i had some trouble with mine i also
took the rubber of the filler cap and it still was tight to turn to a full lock so i had to
file inside the filler neck and file some of the white bits on the filler cap to get a full lock and it is ok know i hope this help
Ah yes...thats what |I did too.
thank for the info that all i needed
i had the same problem. I think i just used a stanley knife to shave off some of the black plastic off of the filler cap so that it could be closer to the tank and then fuller turn and engage (if that makes sense). Took about 15 seconds.
