yeah, headlights are good for that

(car looks nice as well)

Very neat.
I particularly like the dash - did you make it yourself?
Your bodywork appears to fit well also. Did you have any of the usual issues such as the cockpit sides etc?

Andy.

Looking very good.

I suppose you probably already know but on the first sunday morning of every month there is a meeting in Guildford, in the summer months it tends to be at Newlands Corner. Starts at around 10-11ish normally and all are made welcome. Keep an eye on the site if you're interested!

Usually it is a train coming the other way!

Nice build!

i made the dash myself from ply then covered it in 8mm foam from a camping roll up bed (argos) then coverd that in vinyl leather cloth. it looks ok from in front but looks a right mess from behind. as for the body work, that definately lived up to tigers reputation for being awfull. bad finish and bad fit. regarding the cockpit sides they were very tight, a problem made worse by my insistence on fully skining the chassis sides (i wanted a full fire wall ).MJA. mart, what sort of gauges are those?
They look from the back as though they're out of a car dash??

Cheers

Romer

I'm a little puzzled by the two holes in your dash ? are you fitting twin steering wheels ??

most of the avons i have seen usualy have a huge cut out around the steering column that it completely open at the bottom for access to the ignition. i did not like the idea of this as i felt it looked somewhat untidy. therefore i designed my dash as you see it. its not quiet finished yet i also intend to add a gear leaver boot inside out attached to the rear of the dash hole and then tied around the ignition barrell to tidy things up

With an adjustable steering column all the ignition barrel etc is in front of the dash and no need for holes. As the steering wheel is further back it is a better driving position and it gives heeps more leg room as your knees will go under
the wheel. Highly recommended.

Sorry to but in, but it is slightly related...

Will I need the lower steering column cowl to pass the SVA? Do they test pointy bits under there? Can't find a sierra at the scrappies, and new from ford is extortionate!

What have other Avon builders done?

Thanks,

Tim
