chaps,

I think I may have a problem,
just ordered some wheels for the avon

195/45/15 offset 38, ford 4 stud fitment
a user on the tiger forum has different 15" wheels,
can anyone tell me if they will be ok for the avon?

heres hoping!!!

Hi les like you i also have Et38 offset i am running 195/50/15 it does look a bit as if the wheels might rub under hard cornering but as i havent driven mine i cant say but i think it will be ok after reading this thread.

If the Avon uses Sierra uprights, ET38 are the ones you need, if they're Cortina, ET15ish is where it's at.

Hi,

Thanks guys, I have an avon with cortina front uprights, and sierra rear axles/ diff / brakes.
Its typical!! I have the wheels on order and could have ordered any offset / size tiger advised the 38 offset!!
Soggy, where does it look like it might rub?

Its on the outer edge of the arch but like i said without having a finished car i dony know how much the suspension compresses under hard cornering.

that doesnt sound too bad,

hopefully Ill be ok, handling wise, I guess you want them out there at the outer edges of the bodywork,
do the fronts look ok so far?

fill it up to ET 15 at the front. 38-15=23 mm space.

The fronts are fine i will take some pics tomorrow of the front and the back.
