i spoke to tiger yesterday and was told that the avon will not pass sva with 4 point harness fitted, can anyone hopefully tell me different, thanks.
Minimum required is 3 points for sva.
Maybe the harnesses are turn buckle type releases instead of the same as your tintop?
The standard 4-point harness upper mounts in the rear top chassis rail are too low to pass SVA.
I have got round this (hopefully!) by obtaining a modified Tiger rollbar with an additional bar welded across it (where the mounts for standard
three-points were.) This bar now houses the welded threaded tubes for the top harness mounts.
Andy.
The problems as I see them are
1, the Tiger supplied 4 point harnesses aren't e marked (so I understand)
2, the mounting points for 4 point harnesses are too low. the SVA restrictions are measured from the seat base.
HTH
Photo 11 say's it all. If they are E marked you'll be fine it's the
height of the mounting thats the problem.

Why don't they sort this out if they are the manufacturer?
I'm fitting 3 point for sva then swopping them out afterwards.
Just when i think i have sorted all the problems another one cropps up
How much higher do they need to be?
How easy are 3 point belts to get hold of which make of car would fit?

If 4 points is not ok for SVA, this means it is not safe too!!!
I bought 4 point last week

Now you mention it i have seen them talking about belts on the toc forum.
Will have a word when i need them.
my avon passed with 4 point harnesses
and quick release buckle. the only thing i did was to make a very thin seat base as they measure up from the seat base.
Mine failed as the rear mountings were approx 12mm too low. I borrowed 3 point belts to pass then put back on the 4 pointers. Having said that with the bottom squab out of the seat it probably would have been OK. I later changed the seats to GRP from Triton and these were low enough to effectivly raise the rear mount to the 450mm (don't quote me as thats from memory)
that last post is v interesting,
I have two tillet grp seats and 4 points that I was intending to fit after sva, but might try it for the test now-
has anyone passed this way?
quick other question, i was going to buy the 3" wide belts but the harness holes look very close together, any thoughts?

If you have a genuine tiger avon roll bar than top attach to the roll bar (there is the holes).
I read on one of the forums that there have been issues where the roll-bar is bolted to the box frame and caused SVA failures as the bolts could crush the box section. Is this correct? What are the options?
