Hello all. New to the forum and am glad I found it, very informative indeed! I am currently in the process of finding myself my first pre-owned kit
car, so do excuse me if I sound like a newbie as I am. I had came across this Avon on Pistonheads which is a 06 reg'ed car apparently built with
all new parts. Am very interested but not too familar with the prices of Tigers and was wondering if the what seems to be a very low price be
reasonable/dodgy. Here is the link:

Any help be appreciated, thanks in advance.
Looks a bit high off the deck at the front & for a pinto engined car I would say it is a bit pricey... But hey I know nothing about Avons.
It does look well finished. Have you been to see it yourself?
Thanks for the reply. I havn't looked at it yet as car is located some distance from me hence I would like to make sure its worth it before I make the trip to go see it!
might look high at the front due to slope it's on,looks fairly priced and has a few nice touches including leather seats etc, best thing to do is
have a look at it and drive it,,It's obviously been built with new parts as it's got a new reg.
regards Graham
Don't like the colour much
It'll be ok for light military use though
looks a good buy to me
It looks like a good deal to me. I bet you couldn't build it for that.
As said, the front end isn't high, it's just the slope. Look at the ground clearance along the side, it sits fairly level.
I don't personally like the colour but each to their own. Mine was green when I bought it but it didn't take long for it to change
chameleon-like to Orange.
The proof of the pudding and all that... Have a drive and a good look around it. Only hen will you know if it's what you want.
Looks really nice to me I think it wears its colour well and the interior has obviously had some money spent on it, which suggests the rest of the
car has too.
I do think the front is a bit high though pic 5 makes the upper wishbones look like they are pointing downwards too?
Its probably got the standard Tiger supplied front shocks which, I believe, are too long. Hence why the 'bones aren't parallel to the ground and it's sitting high at the front.
I know i'm a bit late but chester sports cars are having an openday today(25th) so if you can i'd call in as you'll gain a wealth of
info at a day like this. I'll be there in a yellow avon with a number 7 on the nose cone ( to hide the cracks!!) if you can make it, come over to
me and we'll have a chat and i'll take you for a run if you want. Failing that if you want a good look at one without having the pressure of
buying before you see one, you're more than welcome at my place if thats any help.
Paul
I notice the trumpets for the carbs have no filter fitted at all..... watch out for engine damage! (although i know several owners that do this and
have no problems)
looks pretty standard build, personally i don't like the raisers he has fitted to mount the seatbelts at 'sva' hieght.
The devil is in the detail and you will never get a real idea of the build quality until you see it for yourself.
But all said - a good price. I reckon mine will owe me at least £8k when it's finished!
Thanks for everyone's comments, very honest and helpful!
Thanks Paul, but a bit too late and I got other things planned today. Thanks for the offer!
