I’ve had a mot today on my Avon and it failed on one major thing the front headlights
The mot man said that he had to fail it because he could not identify the light?
What the hell dose that mean and has anyone had the same trouble with their Avon headlight from tiger??

Does the light have any markings on the glass, such as an E mark ?

I know someone with a 360 replica that failed an MOT because his lights aren't E marked.

find a friendly mot place.
When I had the westy I took it in for an mot.
Tester flicked the lights on and laughed.
Then just said "I take it it's for daylight hours only"
Still got a slip

Have your car MOT'd by Tiger, not a problem

Yes the glass has an e-mark but he said that he reckons the lights are from the states and that the US light have a line beam but this has a circle but that means nothing to me??
And the other thing is that the headlights passed the SVA ok?

In that case ask for a vt17 because he should have failed it on incorrect beam pattern.
From what you have said I would reckon that you might even find that the bulbs are just fitted incorrectly giving a smudge instead of a pattern.

Hope this helps.
