Body Trim
prelude1980 - 12/6/07 at 07:26 PM

Has anyone used or made some trim that goes over the edge of the body where you get in and out, the section that has the rounded edge. Ideally i want something to cover that edge and the curve that follows the wheel arch

Comes as std with the Mac#1.

May be available as a spare.

Mac#1 do an ali trim that goes along the chasis rail and where the body curves up to the rear wheel arch....not sure if it would fit an Avon but would be worth a call.

i'll give them a call tomo, i was hoping to try to get something a bit beefer than ally, as i have to hide the gap between chassis and body

Thanks Antony

east anglia horsebox co. do it. C7 and C8. it's cheaper than mk, mac#1 or any of the kit car outfits.

not a massive job to bend it yourself, and you can then mitre the corners instead of doing it in one strip.

Hi,

Is this what you are talking about? It's easy enough to take a fibreglass moulding from bodywork. I covered the area in cling film and then took a fibreglass casting of what has become the armrest, once cured it was easy to release, then trimed to size and covered with thin foam and vinyl.

Cheers!
