Finally collected chassis

Well I have finally collected my Avon chassis from Tiger....

I have spotted a few minor 'adjustments' that need doing (L/H light carrier not straight, some grinding to do on a few of the welds)

What I want to know from all of you with a factory built chassis is what should I look for?

I have checked alignment and the chassis is (almost) square.

Also i notice that the handbrake cable guide seems to point the cables straight back at a cross piece - is there a little 'adjustment' needed here also ?

All help (other than 'chuck it and start again' gratefully recieved

I had to move the bottom tube that the steering column runs trough, as the steering shaft nearly hit the starter, but thats because its on the opposite side to a Pinto.

The handbrake....... I cut off the two tubes, and welded them on under the bar. I then routed the handbrake cable under the chassis member and through two notches cut out of the diff casing (as on the MK). If I was to do it again I would Drill the chassis member and weld two tubes into it, and route the cable through them.

The rad that Tiger use is shite, so I used a Polo one. It fits perfectly in the nose cone. This involved welding some brackets to the chassis.

I welded two 'tags' onto the chassis at the rear to use as earth points.

I chopped out the crap for the Tiger remote, and bought a Westfield jobbie.

I plan on trimming some metal off the inside edge of the plates used to mount the roll bar. Then you don't have to chop stupid holes in the bodywork.

Cheers
