right i am going to fit the screen to the
car . and as far as i can remember the glass is not a snug fit in the frame so what has people done to make it not rattle in the frame? please
help......
Standard Tiger aluminium U channel for the frame?? If so then you need some 10mm PVC beading. One piece each side of the screen holds it centrally.
Silicone sealant in the channel holds it all in place and seals it. I piece each side of the screen on the scuttle also is needed so get enough to go
right around the screen front and rear. The stuff is cheap enough and is also usefull for other jobs - i'm using it on the dash around the edge
withg the scuttle to hide the join, around the stone guards etc.

Glazing tape.
I work in the aftermarket automotive glazing trade. This is what we call it.
You can get lots of different thicknesses, and even self adhesive ones. I'm off work till the 21st, so if your not in a rush I could have a look
t all the different sizes we have and post them up.

Sorry, I forgot to update this message.
We have at work
Non adhesive stiff rubber
38x0.8mm
38x1.2mm
38x1.5mm
38x2.4mm
38x3.0mm all 5m long
Self adhesive more of a foam type product, but easier to use than the stiff rubber type.
36x1.5mm
36x2.5mm
36x3.0mm
I don't want this to turn into a sales pitch for my work (not why I'm on here) so if this interests anyone send me a message.
