Blade clutch replacement?
Proby - 7/9/12 at 07:09 PM

I've been for an MOT today (well the F27 has!) and flew through. Bad news is the clutch was slipping on the way back when under load.

Question is, do I go with a standard clutch or update it? I know in my Westie 11yrs back I ran an EBC with Kevlar and uprated springs. I don't know what's in there now as I've never stripped it down or messed.

What's the opinion? Standard OEM or uprated.

It's running standard 919 power.

Thanks!

personally I ran a stock clutch OEM clutch pack and stock springs.

I tried HD springs (Barnett) but didn't get any difference.

Myself and a friend who owns a bike shop never use EBC plates alway OEM even at twice the cost, I have 30 bikes on the fleet for my bike training company.

I would then put in heavy duty springs, also we normally replace the steels at the same time as all our bike clutches have a hard time

Ive always used standard clutches on my cars, just fitted uprated springs, never had any problems

Another one here on standard plates and uprated springs. Never bought or needed a set of clutch plates in 8 years of BEC abuse.
