Wired up Kwak engine, it does run beatifully,BUT, I can have ignition ON and petrol pump does not run, when cranking engine petrol pump does run. I know it's something electrical that I've done BUT WHAT?
The bike pump will stop working when it reaches the required pressure and start again when the engine starts and use's fuel.try draining a bit of fuel out of the pipe and turning the ignition on to see if the pump works,if it does wiring's ok.
mr loo's correct in as much as when the float bowls are full, the pump will cut out. They don't make a lot of effort either, it's
something like 1.5 PSI.
What you may have done, is wired the pump on the wrong side of the ignition switch. It sounds as if you've got it on the starter circuit, and not
on the ignition "run" circuit.
I'll try Rorty's answer, thanks, have a Fosters on me.
