Hi

For internal side panels, you could use vinyl fabric glued to thin ali sheet as was used on Lotus and Caterham 7s. Pop rivet the panels on. For the tunnel just glue the vinyl straight on. Evostick or similar, use wire wool to get a key and then solvent to clean the surface.

Vinyl from http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/c-112-non-stretch.aspx
Or maybe Neweton Commercial

Cheers

Reopening an old thread, but what adhesive are people using to stick vinyl trim onto ali panels. Had the tunnel top off for the first time in expect 10 years and the whole interiors fallen apart!

Mine mainly all fold over the edge and get trapped, so it doesn't have to be hyper sticky, but need something to hold it together enough to fix everything back down, and generally hold it against the middle panel and stop it slipping out.

Tried using EvoStick contact adhesive but I either nead to use an order of magnitude more than I have so far and soak it, or the stuffs rubbish?

Spray contact adhesive is best. On both surfaces wait for it to go tacky then apply

Spray contact is easy, used to use good old Evostik which is good but a little messy at times.
