The car has covered 135k miles (ODO reads in KM but speedo MPH). Don't be put off by the mileage these engines are known to be bullet proof, the car always starts first time every time and has a rolling road print out showing it hasn't lost any power. I am the second owner since import in 2000. Both I and the original owner are mazda enthusiasts and owners club members as can be seen by the bootlid picture. I have always performed regular oil and filter changes and recently carried out a fuel filter and spark plug swap. The car was under-sealed when imported and has been done twice in my ownership, the most recent being before winter.

This car has a lot of pedigree, it was the first MX5 in the UK to run a Greddy turbo set up. The previous owner had his own company called TrackTec and this was his personal car. The car has always attracted attention at meets/shows and I am regularly asked about the W reg. The original owner had a private plate on the car and when he removed this the DVLA used the date of import rather than the manufactured date to re-issue the plate. There is no cause for concern, I have had no trouble taxing or insuring the car, or sourcing parts. Whilst on the topic of insurance I insure this car fully comp with all mods declared and up to 175Bhp for £350 (Aged 26).

The car will be supplied with 12 months mot & taxed til june

There are a few marks in the paintwork consistant with age but generally a good honest car that I'll be sad to see go. I have only covered 700 miles in the last year which is the reason for sale, its just not getting used.

Also available by separate negotiation; (please note I will not sell separately until the car has sold).

Apologies about the late reply.

The car is currently running 115bhp as the turbo kit isn't fitted. The turbo would benefit from a rebuild but as a standard kit it should make 150bhp and 230 is achievable on the standard engine so fairly cheaply/easily.

The turbo could be made to fit a 1.8 but a different exhaust manifold would need to be sourced.

The hard top is black and i'd be looking for offers around £300

Cheers,

Rob

So is it £2250 for the car without the turbo and all the other stuff?

D Beddows - 22/4/12 at 02:02 PM

what would you be looking for for the Hard Dog bar?

RobLyon - 24/4/12 at 08:39 PM

I'm after £250 for the roll bar. Incase you didn't know they're regarded as the best bar on the market and have to be imported from the states (You'd be looking at £500+ to buy new)
