Nice bit of small print in the t&c's
An exchange unit will be required after the purchase, which we will arrange to pick up at our own cost. Failure to comply with this will result in
your warranty becoming void and a 25% surcharge being applied
did not see that
oh well its allways good fun to see what there is on the bay
If you fancy one, you would be better off importing it yourself from
HERE. Was a better deal
though when the exchange rate was better. I'm going for the single turbo version. I cannot understand why more people don't use them in
kitcars.
Do it!!
Cheers

Hi Rob,
Hows you project coming along?
As rob says, forget that, you cant trust any second hand rotary engine, buy a knackered one for a couple of hundred and rebuild it for another £300
(with genuine mazda parts) and have piece if mind.
Rotaries can pop at any time. If these are genuine low mileage engines the water seals are well past their sell buy date. If i see 'Genuine low
mileage original engine' in a 4 sale add, i think 'needs a rebuild'!
Or look at the slightly older shape car which often go rotten for a few hundred quid and take everything you need , sell what you can and scrap the
shell.
The engine is basically identical but gearboxes are slightly stronger on the older car. You could build a whole locost using a 2nd generation car for
less than the price of that engine.
Also just noticed this in the add
'THE ENGINES ARE THEN SUBJECTED TO A UNIVERSAL INDICATOR DYE TEST TO ASCERTAIN IF THE EXHAUST GASES ARE IN THE WATER SYSTEM; AND AS A RESULT TO
DETERMINE IF THE HEADGASKET IS INTACT.'
Rotaries dont have a head gasget!
He will probably tell you it doesnt use any oil as well. which is another good sign a rotary engine is knackered, they should all use oil. If it
doesnt, be worried.

Hi Rob
I ported the inlet and exhaust ports and upped the fuel system ready for a bigger turbo. The stock turbo is way too small which is why i have such
high torque figures.
If i come across any i will let you know.
