Not to harp on too much about the body, but I have just secured the body and my greatest gripe was that in many areas the body was trimmed back too much at the factory.
This made securing under the chassis very difficult as there was a minimal return.
Also the bonnet each side of the bulge is trimmed back too far.
The rear wing was also paper thin and I had to reglass underneath.
This is odd because the dash is bloody thick and doesn't have to be.
Nevermind, I will not be beaten!!!!

OK - my source.... ahem

tells me that the new Avon bodywork will be a retrofit to older chassis....

It is styled (apparently) on a 1960's clubman racer.

so anyone got an idea what it may look like ? still not ordered my bodywork so I could have the option of something a little different !

A brief search of the net for 'clubman racer' or race car ...... everything returned looked like a lotus 7 to me....

to be fair for once.......

Tiger inherited the body panels for the Avon. The bodywork for their other more recent models, like the R6, is of a much better quality. IMHO

That being true then how come the original Avon didn't have the problems that the Tiger one has?

Talking to Jim at Stoneliegh.....

The new bodywork for the Avon chassis has been put on hold due to another project..... sounded like we won't see it till next year...

On the good news side... the GRP pedal box cover seen on the orange demonstrator will soon be available (1-2 months), it finishes off that area far better...

IMHO, junking the Sierra pedal box, hacking off the brackets and fitting floor mounted pedals finishes off the area better
