Fuel tank ?

Has anyone tried other sources of fuel tank ? I'm a tight bugger and I don't mind scrounging from a breakers if I have to. I've got access to good MIG welding facilities so DIY tank is a possibility !

Any suggestions ?

"just like that !"

and you'll see my homemade tank , I tested it for leaks by pumping it up with an airbed pump in the bath!!

Took 3 goes before it was sealed , no probs so far , 4 years on......................

Depending upon your chassis the Triumph Spitfire tank MAY fit.

I measured one up for my car but it was about 30mm too long. Beauty of the Spitfire tank is even 2nd hand ones are in reasonable condition as the tank sits in the boot out of the rain and damp!

Has anyone MIGed their tanks, or is that a bad idea? Would like to make my own, but don't have gas.
