Alternator 101 - 100 (reversible) should i try halfords ?

Just brought one from Lucas for £26 or £28 pounds. They didnt supply the fan or the pulley as that was to come off the donar. Unfrotunately the donar
was a later model 101 but becasue it was christmas and the man had no spare fans or pulleys he let me use it as an exchange. If you have no excahnge i
think its another 15 quid. I then brought a fan and pulley from tiger for about a tenner. Hope this helps.

also forgot to say that lucas also did me a battery for £15 which i was well chuffed with.

I got one from the ocal autofactors for £12, they like me in there they do! They've stopped asking me what car it's for......

Lucas ACR17 by any other name would smell as sweet --- really obsolete stuff most motor factors still have some old stock or you can find one off
