that age old question - whats it worth?
I have sadly decided that my Avon has to go over the last 5 years I have done less than 400 miles! it just isnt getting used so i need to free up
the cash to fund a new venture....
But now i am faced with that age old quandry - just what is it worth! I know people will say its worth what people are willing to pay! but thats not
hugely helpful
So... any guidance or help on what you think its worth - please!
SPEC:
Avon completed 2008. Red with Black wings. rear wings widened to by about 3 inches
Pinto 2.1 professionally built 205 block by Scholar engines, shallow sump.
lightened and dowled flywheel, balanced by scholar with arp con rod bolts
FR34 fast road cam
vernier cam pulley
oddeysey race battery
small denso alternator
ported head - standard valves
GSXR 1000 throttle bodies
LC1 o2 sensor
MSnS v3 Fuel injection
Cosworth HP fuel pump, facet LP fuel pump
LED lights - except headlights
Compomotive rims with Toyo Proxes in good condition. 205/45/16 front 245/35/16 rear
non lsd diff
type 9 5 speed Gbox
front brakes are Austin princess 4 pot calipers, spaced to work with the Capri 2.8 vented discs
Fiat alloy radiator
Oil cooler
Fuel cooler on return line
Stainless exhaust
Bad points:
Never really got her running as smooth as i like. ideally needs a good go on a rolling road with an expert to get it running sweet.
some minor starring of rear wing GRP - could do with some so simple attention
Brakes ideally need looking at - was never happy with them, you need to be quite hefty with them and they arent really 'assuring' so maybe
best replaced with something more modern.
MOT runs out next week - needs a rubber boot on a front upper ball joint.
In all i reckon I spent about £11k on the build. but I am not delusional - I know it will be well below that...

As a few on here have said in previous threads EBAY is quite a good way to get a valuation on it,as it gets a massive audience.
Either list it with a reserve you would be happy with,or put it on a classified advert for the cheaper option

I'd get a new MOT, quick, while the Sun is out, then put it on a Classified at £5350 and stick hard at 5K.
Your selling a car with uninspiring brakes and an engine in need of a tune.
Effectively, it has no MOT at the moment.
Are you able to tune the Megasquirt yourself or did someone else set it up?
If you weren't 200 miles away from me I'd help you sort it.
