engine??
hi i got the engine started today well sort of it started for a second then in stoped but it was still turning over on its own
untill i turned the key off why is this can someone help thanks .....

You don't mention what engine type or whether it's the first time it has been started. By what you describe it sounds like you have wired
it incorrectly. Maybe you have wired in the starter to the always on (position 3) rather than the return switch (position 4)

Did this myself , i wired the ignition along with the starter solenoid, when the key is released the ignition is dead, sound like crossed wires in the
ignition switch. Check whats is switched in both start and run positions on the switch .

sorry it is a2.0L pinto and this is the first
time it has been started i will look at the wireing were the key is and see if i can sort this out what a pain in the ass thank for you help

got the car to start on the turn of the key
now. was the wiring at the barrel . i did follow tigers way and no luck so i did it some outher way and it works.then i had to change the thermostat
housing as it hand a crack in it and it was pissing water.
i have a polo rad and the little pipe at the top corner is missing and when it gets warm it steams out of it

Wiring
The wiring loom supplied by Tiger for my Cat was v good quality but did not always correspond to the manual regarding colour coding. I found a circuit
tester very useful indeed, so if ur using a tiger loom dont assume its right before checking first.
Never mind that s**t, here comes MONGO
