Polo radiator in Avon
Couple of questions please before I fit the Polo rad I've just ordered to my Zetec Avon....
1. Thermostat: Currently have a 92 degree but keen to fit an 88 degree one. What thermostat do I need? Apparently Puma and Fiesta both have 82 deg
but that sounds a bit too cool for engine wear to me.
2. Plan to have plumbing as is but T the expansion tank pipe in to the bottom hose. I have a couple of T pieces, but where's the best place to
get the right shape hoses? IMagine I need a 90 degree hose reducing from 45 to 32mm for the water pump inlet, then a kinked 32 mmm for the top

I have an 82c thermo fitted to my vauxhall red top and in this weather im glad i fitted it.
If your worried about engine wear why not have two stats, a cool one for summer and a warm one for winter?
