Fitting Clutch Springs R1

Can i just take of the clutch cover on a 05 r1 to change clutch springs, or do i need to drop the oil first?

If you just jack the front of the car up,so that the oil runs to the back of the engine,you will be able to remove the cover without loosing any oil

job done! much better to drive now too, i can actualy feel the clutch pedal
