Anyone running Kumho V70A Tyres?

Apparently very good tyres and significantly cheaper than R888 and A048.

Just wondering if anyone was using them on a seven as I am considering them in medium compound for mine?

Cheers,
David

used them in super soft compound on m y hillclimber (800kg/280hp) and they are much better than either 888s or A048Rs (or A032Rs, ACB10s).
very square carcass shape, so camber control is important (too much camber change in roll/bump reduces tyre footprint) whereas the 888s and 48Rs are a bit more rounded and probably more forgiving.
the V70s only come with a very shallow tread pattern though so are CR*P in the wet!

The only problem I can see with these tyres is that in 13 inch size they come in either a 175 or a 215, so in most cases you're forced to over-tyre the front, or have a big difference in sizes front to rear.

I'll be trying them next though as I have heard great things about them.

They are available in 185 for 13's too.

I would intend to run 185's on the front and 215's on the back. Which is about what caterham run on their R500...good enough for them...

Thanks for the feedback though.

Some of the caterham boys run 175 front and 215 rears on the hills. They're actually closer to Yoko's 185 and 205s

Well thats a lot of good feedback!

If anyone can get a deal on a set then let me know and I will get a set if money allows.

Camskill do them for around £80 each in the above sizes (theres only a quid difference)
