Mi16 in an Avon ?

Did/has anyone considered putting one in an Avon ? if not why not ?

160BHP in standard form with injection system of original car for £250 sounds like a deal to me. Before anyone says it, Type 9 adapter plates are relatively cheap and easy to source apparently aswell.

I know they are tall and are usually leant over a lot in the road cars that use them, is this the main reason ? or am I missing something.

Can't see any reason why this shouldn't work....

the avon has a fair amount of room and can accomodate a rover v8 (just) so why not?

hieght may be an issue but again that is relatively easy to overcome.

Good luck - could end up a belting car!

Was thinking about this for a replacement for the pinto in my Indy. My mate has done a few 205 Mi16 conversions and was trying to convince me. Does seem a good engine.
