diff - notches in the gears?

hi

anyone can tell me if these notches (pointed by the arrows) in these gears of a Sierra 3.38 diff are normal?

No idea but I can't see it causing a great problem as it's at the top of the tooth; as both are the same I guess this is orginal..

Looks to be on all the planet gears
Looked like its supposed to be there
I would think it helps lubrication
I see no need to worry
