My new Avon widetrack

Took delivery of these from Snakebelly in early December.

Popped the car over to Mac#1 for fitting along with some 350lbs springs and collected it today.

Initial feel is good but road conditions didnt really allow me to try it properly.

Very happy with the quality finish on them and another great job done by Mac#1.

If anyone interested then Snakebelly can be found on here or on Tiger Owners forum under Viatron

Fitted mine last night although it took me till 4:30 this morning welding up all the brackets on the crashed n replaced side of the chassis to get them in line but they are within 1mm out at most, which I guess is better than they come out of the factory....

Anywho. All wishbones fitted n in line n adjusted correctly as per robs pic. Just need the lower fiat ball joints which come Monday.

Not got pics yet but I will when I get the upright on n the car on its wheels.

Thanks to mac (snakebelly) for the bones.

Turns out the tiger book measurements contradict themselves which didn't help but I got there after 7 hours work.

So I've primed the chassis for now I can be arsed stripping it again so ill hammerite the new brackets n chassis bits.....

So I've slept most of today apart from priming the chassis so tomorrow ill get on with fitting the brake lines....

Actually she was ok about it. Not too pleased the next day when I slept till 11am then got up n went back to sleep on sofa till 3ish lol ... Nearly as much as the neighbours given we was using the grinder till then too lol

I have filled her with cheap oil to soak then ill flush her when I get the rad pipes delivered n out good oil in n start her up...

Then it just the list of 1 million small jobs...

List for the week is to finish the brake lines n recon the calipers
Fit rad
Fit ball joints
Order all new nut n bolts
Make mock up gear lever

That will do till the weekend.

Then I have to spend sat with the mrs........... Grrrrrr lol

Are the original shocks used, also how much heavier in springs did you use. Finally how much did he charge for the arms.
Cheers Thierry

Yep original shocks.

350lbs springs

I think about £150 for the pair.
