locost tonneau cover??
where can i buy a tonneau cover, with centre zip, for my book locost (not haynes roadster)?
car is only used on track: the passenger side should be completly closed, driver side will get a half door
tried several times contacting softbits...but never received a reply.
now i have seen they have a new web-shop... but nowhere locost is mentioned.....
are there alternative shops besides softbits?

Local seat / boat trimmers. Just had mine done.
Softbits will make you a bespoke one for £450 if you like, mine cost £250 from local place.

But you don't want an off the shelf Westfield or Caterham one; You want a custom one for a Locost. For that they'll want your car for 2
days to make it and charge you £400+

I've just made one for my car. It cost £65 and all the material, press studs, cotton and zip came from a local marine trimmers.
I spent hours making a pattern, marking up and cutting out and my mum sewed it together.
I do need to add an Ali strip down the centre to stiffen the cover up when I only use half.

Thats what they said when I asked about one foor my Fury and they'd made one for a mates car only a few weeks earlier. Not all locosts are the
same... no 2 are. So everyone is custom cover.

a book locost is, imo, always the same, the slight differncies can be compensated by the position of the fixings which you have to drill on your car
anyway.
if we speak about pockets for headrests or steering wheel...thats a different story..those tonneaus need to be fabricated individualy.
in my case its a flat piece with a centre zip which finally, in praxis, needs to cover the passenger area, only.

EVERY book locost is different, having seen 100's not one of them is the same as the next (thankfully)
and I will bet, that my home made tonnea, would not fit any one elses locost
