Bike Engined Buggy
Ok, so for my next venture i'm thinking of making an off road buggy, capable of being road legal, much like the Rage, 1000cc V-Twin engine, with
LSD chain diff, and reverse, lights horns etc etc, does anyone know if the buggy side of things falls under Quadricycles and as such is it conforming
to IVA or MSVA testing?
I am trying to contact Chris Corker who is the technical director for the IVA setup, but his office has closed for the day.
I just wondered if anyone on here has a Rage that is road legal, or does anyone have a road legal, not Chinese nasty buggy, something like a Barracuda
Edge, Rage etc....
I am pretty sure its going to fall under IVA, but it would be a massive bonus if it fell under the MSVA scheme.
Cheers
Nick

There are low power limitations (max 15KW) on quadricycles under MSVA rules.
You would need to go for IVA and register as a car.

Cheers, yeah just read a bit more and spotted the 15KW rule, hey ho, was worth asking, no matter, will build to legal spec then, what is the timescale
between failing IVA and submitting for re-test? I mean the amount of time I have to rectify the failure points?
