Escort brakes

Evening all,

Currently looking at changing brakes on my live axel.

Currently running 203 x 39 drums and shoes. The cylinder are leaking fluid onto the shoes and everything is ready for replacement. Firstly - does anyone do a full replacement package for the drums? Not 100% what the system is I.e what year of escort etc.

Or should I look to move across to disks on the back.

Braking power has never been an issue for me, always had good stopping power even with the drums on the back.

Feedback would be appreciated.

I would take all the parts to a decent motor factors and they should be able to match them up as for changing to discs I wouldn’t bother if had both and never had issues with drums on the rear and handbrakes seemed to be better and I think it’s heavier with discs if you use Sierra rear calipers .vw calipers are Ali so there lighter.
