4 Point harnesses -SVA

I have a set of willans 4 point harnesses.
I know that they are e marked but are they compliant for SVA?
Is there any minimum dimension from the shoulder anchor points in relation to the seat base?

I cannot see this in the SVA guide.

Cheers Stu

My friend in his Westfield passed no problem with a standard set of Willans 4 point harness...

When I went through at Beverley, - they didn't even check for e-markings....!

Regards, Mark.

The upper mounting points do have to meet minimum height requirements but you need to look at the manual as it's not just vertical height.

SVA manual Section 5m page 8 includes "On a harness or three point belt, check that the height of the effective upper anchorage point position (measured vertically above the reference point as described in Annex 4) is 450mm or more"

Annex 4 has a diagram showing how this is measured Rescued attachment Harness mounting point.jpg

You will need a very thin seat pad on an avon or it will fail. If you can borrow 3 point belt and mount off the roll bar mount.Mine failed on that, but since I have taken some foam out of the seat base which would have been enough to pass.
