wider front wishbones
Does anybody sell wider front wishbones for the Avon?
Also does anybody know what the rating of the standard GAZ springs supplied with the Kit from Tiger are?
Cheers

We've just made some. Hopefully should be on my car for the Exeter show. If the bushes turn up in time. The wishbones are 77mm wider.

I would love a set from you depending on price of course.
Are you planning on building and selling them?
What sort of price are they likely to be?

Darren GTS was talking a while back about doing wide front wishbones for the Avon, haven't seen anything more about them for a while though.
Similarly he was talking about doing Avon bodywork - but getting it right!
Hope springs eternal !

That was over a year ago!
I remember asking about the bodywork and 'bones at Exeter last year! (after he had put feelers out on here beforehand.)
IMHO I suspect that it'll be dead in the water judging by recent posts on GTS section regarding his lack of time etc. in just trying to meet
orders for his existing products.

It may be that Tiger have "put their foot down" as I know of somebody who was making Tiger Cat bonnets that fitted and was told to stop
making them or he would end up in court.

I think the fact they fitted made them sufficiently different from the original to escape litigation.
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

the thing is it's perfectly legal for different manufacturers to make third party replacement parts for 'normal' cars, so why would
it be different for kit cars ?

Correct.
AFAIK Tiger have not patented their design of bonnet (they'd have difficulty doing so now anyway I suspect) so on what possible grounds could
they object?
