Tiger Tank.......
I am about to have an Ally fuel tank made for my Avon. Obviously I have the dimensions in the book but thought it worth checking with you fine
gentlemen.....
SO my question to all Avon builders is this > what are the optimum dimensions etc for the Avon tank ?
I also fancy putting the fuel cap on the horizontal flat surface beside the 'boot box' as I have seen others do, will the filler tube need
to be moved ?
Cheers

I have fitted the R6 (i think) tank to mine. Using fuel injection so needed a fill return. Also aim to put the filler on the horizontal. So far so
good it looks like it will be OK. Its also got L shaped bits welded to the sides for fitting, which meant no tank straps.
Can get measurements, take pic if you want? Also have a new steel tiger tank for sale if needed?

Pics and dims would be good as I am having a ally tank fabricated for less than half Tigers prices...
I also am going fuel injected so will need return pipe....

ali fuel tank
I have got a Tiger Ali fuel tank it is from a B6.
The dimensions are pretty much the same as the std tank(which I have currently fitted to my Avon.
I also have my fuel filler on the horizontal flat on the near side.
I did not need to modify the tank to suit this.
I can perhaps get you some measurements if you want.
I cannot say I have had any issues with the measurements of the both the steel or ali tank.

mines ally with baffles. Can't remember dims. I just measured the distances between the chassiss members. I'll be crawling under sometime
over the hols to dick about with the wishbones so I'll measure then. BUr who knows whether yours is the same size. Tiger won't.
