Thanks

'kin 'ell
Aren't Avon's so badly made that the arches stick out from the back panel a couple of inches? That would make it look right... but
wrong IYSWIM
Just swap them over can't you?

Do not fit the wishbones as shown in the book "How to build a Tiger Avon" Because its wrong. It was wrong in the first edition and was
still wrong in the second edition.
All you have to do is flip the bone's over 180 degrees.

the small lines of weld need to be pointing down and on the rearmost leg of the wishbone....
Have heard of this problem before. When 'properly' assembled there is a slight twist to the shock and it seems quite close to the top rear
wishbone leg when the car is jacked up - but apparently this is normal?
I dismissed my own worries with the knowledge that despite the 'strange' setup - reports from several drivers are that it actually handles
really well.........

Nearly back together... welds on the wishbones to the back and the spacers to the front. By the looks of it it will have moved the wheels forward by
a couple of inches... Will post another photo later
Thanks

Naw... getting used to doing things wrong the first time and then re doing them. Took the day off work to some more on the car. Its now 4:30 and all
I have done is take some bits off and put them back on a different way.
Thanks

I think you'll find the wishbones are on fine, it's the rest of the car that's the wrong way round

rotate 180 degrees - either side.
Is that like "turn them over"?
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Im hopefully fitting my rear wish bone joints this weekend together with putting the wheels on.
Tiger said to me that the rear wish bones need to be fittered as forward as possible.

Thought I would post the after picture too...
This is with the bottom wishbones spun through 180 degree and the spacers on the rose joints pushed to the back
Seems OK now
Thanks
