Flywheel questions
I'm a "new builder", and I've got some questions.
I've got a Ford Zetec 2.0L (black top, Evo3) engine with a standard flywheel and clutch assembly.
In the kit I've bought ther's a lightweight flywheel from Avon, does this flywheel fit the black top zetec?
If so, can I re-use the clutch, if not which clutch must I take?
The sam queqtion for the release bearing, which type must I buy?
-standard flywheel
-lightweight flywheel
any help is welcome

I found this answer:
The Tiger lightened flywheel will fit any Zetec-E engine, including the black top.You may find the clutch that came with the engine fits the Tiger
lightened flywheel-this can be checked by offering up the clutch housing to the flywheel ansd seeing if the mounting holes are the same diameter.
If they are the next thing to do is measure the inner diameter of the clutch, where it goes over the gearbox splines. This should be 25,4 mm
(1" in diameter and there should be 23 splines. rather than counting them, you just try putting the clutch plate over the gearboxinput shaft.
If it slides over smoothly, it's the right size for your gearbox. You will then need a clutch release bearing from a 1977-1988 Ford Transit 2.4
or 2.5 diesel. This has a Quinton Hazell part number of CCT303.
If the clutch doesn't fit, you want a standard flywheel and clutch release bearing from a Sierra 2.0 OHC from around 1984-1989.
