Doh!

this thread was going to be called Buggerit!

Finally got my engine/gearbox fitted on Sunday, took about 3 hours to get everything to line up and get it all bolted down. When looking at the bench i spied the driveshaft sitting there glasring at me.... needless to say you can't fit the driveshaft last on an Avon
I ended up taking the diff out which meant stripping the rear hubs/brakes down and removing the westfield geasrlever extension.Grrrrr

So just a warning - Don't forget to fit the shaft as you fit the Gearbox/engine!!!!!

On the plus side - it's one step nearer being as 'real' car!

Don't worry - I did the same, although with a slightly easier outcome - mine did fit in with engine and diff in!

Obviously they are different cars, engines and diffs, but I also was told it wouldn't fit!

hope this post doesn't seem like I'm rubbing salt in

everyone can make mistakes in these builds, and believe me - it wasn't my last

Cheers,
Steve

But you didn't filled up the space by using such a small engine
