oil sump modification needed.

hi everyone,
any of you good at welding? Im looking for a modified oil sump for my zetec. Let me know how much you would like for the modification..

I have a normal zetec sump for now so unless otherwise I can supply the sump to modify.

thanks,

You would do worse then join the Cam7 list on the Se7ens mailing list server and ask if anyone there would do it??? They have an unofficial pub meet quite often and I'm sure someone there would do it for a few bevvies....

You talking about the cast aluminium sump on the earlier Zetecs or the lower steel part on the phase 3 blacktops?

I've just modified/rewelded my sump and pickup pipe on the blacktop.

Cheers

That looks like a silver top and the blacktop sump wont fit. Scholar (mendlesham suffolk) do a nicely modified and baffled sump, not sure of the price though.

Basically; Positioned engine in the chassis on mounts. Scribed a line around the sump to give decent clearance. Chopped, sump plug relocated and plated. Pick up pipe modified.

Cheers
