looks good you need to get the moss out from between the paving!!

is chassis your won work?

Are the metal strips for the steering rack strong enough to resist flexing?

And the engine appears to be higher at the back - usaully it is the other way round - not sure if matters that much.

The only thing I'd say is:

do you really want a tunnel-top mounted handbrake?
I put mine in the passenger area and I'm so glad I did.
I often drive with my elbow resting on the tunnel-top exactly where the handbrake would have been!!!

yeah, i asked tiger about that, im just like you, its nice to put your elbow there but they said not to. besides, reckon going round corners sideways should really be with two hands

-- they said it affects your handbrake if its to one side because the two cables dont pull equally

on the engine thing, is it worth getting some stronger engine supporters, and whilst at it make it higher?

If you use the balancing half-moon type thing there is absolutely no reason IMHO why that last statement would be true

'tis true. for sliding round corners both hands on the wheel is usually a good idea... unless you're drifting it with the handbrake!!!

OH well! I know lots of people who like the handbrake being where it is on your car.... I'm just not one of them!!!!

it should be possible to drop the handbrake - pretty sure I have seen wells in the transmission tunnel that swallow up a lot of the handbrake.

If the well is too deep then it may be hard to grab the handle?

Midget / Sprite handbrake

Also in an accident a handbrake lever could really hurt you.

your going to have to brace the steering rack supports mate. the latest tiger chassis uses a triangle welded against the side of one support. I have bolted a 3mm thick strap between the support and the chassis upright.

looking good

cheers

Like Dave, I have fitted a bracing bar to the rack mount brackets. I welded mine across both brackets and to the nearside chassis.
This is because some SVA centres apparently, have been failing the Avon due to the otherwise unbraced brackets flexing during operation of the steering.
