Tiger avon wiring loom.

I am using a Tiger avon wiring loom on my MK. The loom is very good in every way. My problem is I am not using the sierra indicators and main beam and dip switches and want to use switches on the dash. I have tried several times but the relays included in the loom do not appear to be activated. I can get full beam but a very poor dip beam. I have removed the both relays and still get full beam and dip so the power is not going through the relays. I have power to the both relay pins where it should be. Any one out there bot any ideas as I have ran out

A common cause of dim main or dip is having the earth wire swopped over at the headlight with one of the feeds.

David, Whats the Tiger loom like? I'm building an MK and your post made me think about what loom to use. Up until now I'd been thinking of the lolocost one (Cheap...) but I've heard bad storys. The only other one I've seen is MK's loom (£150 bing...).

Tiger loom

I have found the loom quite good, you can get it with four rocker switches and the ill. dash lights, the headlight and flasher unit is built in. I would get another one. If you go for it make sure they send you the wiring diagram. david
