Tiger injection fuel tank
I've got my fuel tank today from tiger, and i'm confused about the mounts...... when you sit it in the chassis the mounts are so far up the
side that the bottom of the tank sticks out the bottom of the chassis.... has anyone fitted one of these? if so surely this can't be correct? any
pics or comments appreciated.... I know tigers build tollerences are bad, but this bad?

Certainly looks different to the one in the tiger avon book. Wonder if its for the correct model?
Cheers

I am sure we have seen this problem before...
IIRC that is the tank for a Cat not an Avon.....

Mine was the same.
i put some brackets under the chassi and mounted the tank on these. I then put straps over the top. Have encosed the pictures. I also cut off the
alloy brackets.

I think that tiger use a different tank for fuel injected cars. and that has the side lugs which are no use on an Avon.

Yea I have the same tank in my avon. It is for an R6 or some other tiger model. Tiger did say this when I bought it though.
To make mine fit, I have a couple of straps underneath, so the tank sits flush with the bottom to the rear box section. I then used threaded rod
drilled through the back of the chassi and then up to the tabs on the tank so it sits square. The Avon tank is the same size except it doesnt have the
tabs welded to the side. I contemplated cutting them off and mounting it like the book, bet then thought hey might as well use the tabs.
Been looking for some pics of mine but cant find any and my body is mounted now...
Thanks
Adrian

I've swapped the tank for a normal one i.e. not injection, the injection tank has no brackets on the bottom for fitting to an avon so you will
need to put some onyourself and grind off the ones that are on the sides shown in the photo...
