On most occassions I have the ability, to sleep anywhere with my head inserted into a shitty bucket.

Premier Inn sounds far more relaxing.

I haven't done any big miles in my bec yet, it should be interesting.

khm - 19/1/12 at 09:20 PM

owelly - 19/1/12 at 09:29 PM

Xtreme Kermit - 19/1/12 at 10:00 PM

I'll be equipped with a proper tent this year. No more collapsing bl#%*y pop-up bl#%*y tent this time round.

Mr C - 19/1/12 at 10:03 PM

hopefully travelling up in tandem with another completed V-Storm from the south east corner.

bi22le - 19/1/12 at 10:27 PM

I would love to come but only if the striker is ready. Not got lots to do but dont have time at the moment.

It would be a boring drive and absolutly rubbing my nose in it if I take the tin top.

Would rather travel light and blag a lift I think.

See how it goes, would love to put some names to faces. In my mind Coozer actually looks like an Ostridge!!

big_l - 20/1/12 at 12:48 AM

Yep I'll be there.

Let's hope it's not too cold.

scootz - 20/1/12 at 09:23 PM

richard - 20/1/12 at 09:55 PM

i hope to be there again after the end of the 5 day SKCC road trip, Sunday to Monday, camping this time as the prison last year was terriable.
Rich

Furyous - 25/1/12 at 11:20 PM

This year will be the first one I've missed since 2004. Last year was the first time I went in a kit car, and it completely changed my attitude towards it all. Rather than gazing on misty eyed about what I couldn't have, I was talking to other owners and thinking of what I could buy from the trade stands. I didn't actually spend a lot of time looking around the car stands.

But this year I'll be abroad. And my car will be in pieces.

RichardK - 25/1/12 at 11:36 PM

I'll be there in spirit mate!dont forget to take plenty of pictures and show me what I'm missing,I'm sure to be very jealous as it was the one annual event I "really" looked forward to and roughing it for a few day all added to the experience.Best of all was the company, some great crack.Take care you lot and enjoy.
Cheers
Rich

rost - 26/1/12 at 07:53 AM

Are you guys camping? Went with the dutch club back in 2008, but I don't think they're going this year. Do they have "spots" for clubs again?
If the Fury's done I'd like to go again

Clubs have there own pitches around the site. There is an official camping area but most camp within thier clubs pitch.

rost - 26/1/12 at 09:07 AM

Does LCB have their own pitch then? Would be nice to camp with a club.
The car should be done & debugged by may

[Edited on 26/1/12 by rost]

adithorp - 26/1/12 at 10:27 AM

No locostbuilders pitch. All Fury's welcome on the JPSC pitch though.

roadrunner - 26/1/12 at 12:45 PM

I will be there too. With any luck the Indy will be finished. If not I will have blagg a lift.

Steve WISHES he looked like an Ostridge

RichardK - 26/1/12 at 11:15 PM

Wejust used to pitch on the Locost pitch

JimM - 27/1/12 at 01:12 PM

Hope to be there this year again ....
All the way from M8 in Scotland

paulf - 31/1/12 at 10:19 PM

Surely that is the same thing nowadays, since the locost builders club ceased to exist officially then this site seems to have taken its place.Maybe we should all try and make it a more organised meet on the pitch like the MK and Luego guys do and arrange a barbecue on the pitch on Sunday evening or something similar.

As always, I remain hopeful!!!

eddie99 - 31/1/12 at 11:47 PM

Was hoping to be my first Stoneleigh in the kit however i will be racing at Brands on the Sunday so will be unlikely!

coozer - 28/3/12 at 08:09 PM

I hope this weather keeps up.. I'm sitting wishing Stoneleigh was this week!

Cannot wait!

Time for Mr. Hignett to get the beers in!

Might even have a beer off with Claire!

I'll post a convoy itinerary closer to the date where any north based peeps can join us.

Cheers,
Steve

I asked wifey the other day and she fancies going, I went in 2010 in the tin top and it was good although I got soaked walking about as it was a crappy day.

I won't be able to say for defo until closer but if you wanna travel up together I'm up for it.

EDIT: I'm unsure as to whether I'd be camping yet or travelling up and back on the same day, last time I checked the boot was full of gsxr lump so not much room for a tent n stuff

twybrow - 24/4/12 at 03:06 PM

I'll be there, and fingers crossed, in my kit (assuming I finish the engine transplant!).

MakeEverything - 24/4/12 at 03:25 PM

I would have liked to have the car ready for stoneleigh, but I'm not rushing it this time! Still got a few bits left to do....

trextr7monkey - 24/4/12 at 05:03 PM

Popping down on Sunday and getting shot of another lathe at the same time,
who says you can't mix business and pleasure

I will also be looking for odd bits for a Tr7

theduck - 24/4/12 at 07:22 PM

Just realised how close this is to home, think I'll have to make an appearance! Which days best to go? Sunday or Monday?

paulf - 24/4/12 at 07:29 PM

Sunday is usually the best day, people tend to pack up and leave early afternoon on the Monday but it also depends on the weather of course.
Paul.

Doesnt look to promising through wales. Hope you have your snow shovel

"Largely dry across northern parts of the UK through the weekend with some bright or sunny spells, but it will be rather cold with overnight frost. There will be wintry showers in places, possibly giving snow accumulations over higher ground. Further south, remaining predominantly unsettled with rain or showers, with a threat of hill snow across Wales on Saturday. Breezy at times and feeling cold in the wind and rain. The remainder of the period looks likely to stay unsettled across the UK. Heavy rain is possible in places, turning wintry across higher ground in the north. Daytime temperatures remaining mostly below normal with the risk of night frosts. Towards the end of the period, southern parts may see more dry and bright periods whilst it remains unsettled further north."
