could a 7 style kit be extended to a 4 seater and still pass the sva the reson i ask is my kids are growing up and want to go with dad in the kit

there is a vindicator on the market which does just that, IMO it is FUGLY but each to their own

vindicator did a 4 seater, maybe worth a google. Personally I don't like the proportions.

iva is the new test (slightly more tricky than SVA).

No obvious reason why 4 seater wouldn't work, but you'd need to make sure you had the structural calcs sorted rather than just stretching and crossing your fingers.

Don't like t5he Vindicator in two seater form.

A simple extension should look OK.

+1 for fugly on the Vindicator

Might not that be a bit unsafe for the Sprogs?
Sevens, of any description, are only marginally more 'crash safe' than a Motorcycle.
Despite all bleats to the contrary.

Do you happen to have any `statistics' to back that claim up ?
